Structure and Specification of Insulated Operating Rod
The insulated operating rod is composed of working department, insulating part and handshake part.
(1) The working part is usually made of metal or insulating material with high mechanical strength (such as glass fiber reinforced plastics). Generally, it should not be too long. Under the condition of meeting the working needs, the length is not easy to exceed 5-8cm, and the short circuit between phases or grounding occurs during one side operation.
(2) The insulating part and the handshake part are generally made of epoxy resin tube, and the two parts are separated by a guard ring. The rod body of insulated operating rod (rod) should be smooth, free from cracks or damage. Its length depends on the working requirement, voltage level and place of use. For electrical equipment above 110 kv, the length of insulated operating rod is 2-3 M.
